Welcome to Ashdon Gardening Club
This popular village group welcomes novices and experienced gardeners alike at their monthly meetings which are held on a monthly basis from October to May. Whatever your level of experience you will usually find something to interest you, and you may even win a raffle prize or be presented with a fledgling plant.
A number of events have been planned for the summer break. Click on the Village Show and other events link at the left to find out about them. The next meeting will take place on 16th September at which Hilary Thomas will be giving a talk on the Texture and Form of Plants. As usual there will be a Question and Answer session and tea and coffee will be served later when there will be a chance to look at the bring and buy stall. Everyone is welcome to attend. To view past meetings click on the Meetings link at the left hand side of the page.
We have also arranged two summer visits this year. The first for members only is to Ashdon Hall on 17th June. Please let H Haynes know if you wish to come. The second visit will be on 15th July to Cambridge Botanical Gardens. Tickets are £7 for both members and non-members. Please let Ian Herd know if you want tickets. Contact details can be found by clicking on the link on the left hand side of the page. Both visits start at 6.30 pm.
Follow the links on the left hand side to our other pages which tell you more about us, about the meetings and how to become a member and about the Ashdon Village Show. Please contact members of the Committe on our Contacts page if you want to know more. The Links page provides links to other Ashdon organisations and to some gardening and related organisations.
In 2009 we added another link to news about Ashdon Gardening Club members. The link at the side of the page will take you to this page.
If you want to view any of the photographs under the title bar in a larger frame click on the picture and wait a few seconds. We hope to feature some more of our local gardens on this site in the future. If you would like a photograph of your garden to be featured on this site please contact Gillian Wotherspoon. The photographs on the Village Show pages feature displays at the 2009 show.
