Dates for you Diary

Thursday 17th March 7.45pm Angela Whiting, Alpines & Alpine Troughs. Award winning expert Angela, has over 25 years experience in alpines and will show you how to get the best out of these mountain delights.

Thursday 21st April 7.45pm – Mark Ekin, Lawns and Lawn Care. Mark has worked within the horticultural industry for over twenty-five years, where he ran his own landscaping business. For several years he has been working in the land based education sector and is currently Section Leader for Horticulture and Floristry at The College of West Anglia in Cambridgeshire.

Beth Chatto Visit 2011

This day visit is on Sunday 19th June.  This is a coach trip to the beautiful Beth Chatto Garden.  Times and prices are yet to be confirmed. PLANT SALE – Saturday 7TH MAY 2011 FROM 8AM Onwards

Our ever popular plant sale with be outside the village hall as normal.  This year unlike previous years, plants will be more popular due to the demise of many plants over the winter.  So please let us have your extras!!!  If you require help with getting plants to the sale please get in touch with Lisa on the above details.

Harvey’s Garden Plants (www.harveygardenplants.co.uk) Thurston, Bury St Edmunds.  Roger visited us last year and gave a fascinating talk.  Woodland/Shade Loving plants Special Days Friday 8 April 2011, Saturday 9 April 2011, Sunday 10 April 2011, 9.30 - 4.30, FREE EVENT, 10% off plants purchased on these days.

Kirtling Tower, nr Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, CB8 9PA Suns 27 Mar; 3 Apr (11-4). Admission: Adm £4.50, chd free. Kirtling Tower has moat on 3 sides. The garden of 5 acres was created 9yrs ago. Main features are spring garden (planted with 100,000 bulbs of daffodils, narcissus and camassias), secret, walled and cutting gardens. Original Tudor walk. 30,000 bulbs of muscari and chionodoxa planted along 150m church walk. Photographic cards and Kirtling lamb for sale. Refreshments in the church, while you enjoy the organ music
